Class of 2016 Gift Presentation

Aurra Fellows ’16

Good afternoon. My name is Aurra Fellows. This year, Bryan Hogg, Tarinee Sudan, Mikaël Schinazi, and I had the great honor of serving as co-chairs of the 2016 Class Gift Campaign.

Today, we are proud to announce that 74 percent of the graduating class contributed to the campaign!

The Class Gift is a hearty showing of school support, a way to say thank you for all that Columbia Law School has given us, and a desire to improve the experience for future students. The gift also helps remind us of our potential for contribution to the students who come after us, like the countless alumni and friends who have graduated and continue to come back and offer us wisdom and guidance.

My fellow co-chairs and I would like to thank all 52 of our Class Gift Committee members, as well as the 496 members of the Class of 2016 who helped make this year’s campaign such a resounding success.

Dean Lester, on behalf of the Columbia Law School Class of 2016, we are very excited to present to you the 2016 Scroll of Honor. The scroll lists the names of the Class Gift Committee members, as well as the 235 J.D. and 261 LL.M. students who contributed to the 2016 Class Gift.
