Learning Outcome Goals

Primary Goals

  • At the end of the course, students will have acquired understanding of and/or facility in the intersection between immigration law and criminal law, including major policy concerns.
  • Students will have acquired an understanding of the ethical and professional issues faced in representing low-income immigrants facing removal from the United States.
  • Students will acquire general litigation and advocacy skills, including interviewing clients, developing a theory of the case, preparing witness affidavits and testimony and preparing evidence for hearings.
