Class of 1963 Reunion Class Notes
Judith Roses Greenwald ’63
Judith R. and A. Seth Greenwald
Despite placement in different 1st year sections, Seth and I managed, over a period of five years, to get together and to marry. Now, we have three children, four grandchildren and look back upon and forward to happy years in our hometown, Brooklyn, NY (the current center of the universe).
Seth retired in 2005 from his career in government law: first in the office of the New York State Attorney-General, where he represented NY State in the U. S. Supreme Court five times (prevailing on each occasion). He then was a member of the staff of the Appellate Division, First Department. I was a New York City Assistant Corporation Counsel where I defended the City's Department of Finance and Tax Commission in Real Property Tax Law litigation. I also retired in 2005, but in 2008 I became a part-time agency attorney at the New York City Tax Commission. Seth remains active in local politics and I remain active at our Synagogue.
Our family is a mini-bar association. Our two sons are attorneys, our son-in-law is an attorney, and our daughter-in-law is an attorney. Our daughter, is an urban planner with the New York City Economic Development Corporation, and she deals with lawyers on a daily basis.
Like the folks of Lake Wobegon, our wonderful grandchildren are all above average
