Harlan Fiske Stone
Moot Court 2016
Alexander N. Ely ’16 was awarded the Lawrence S. Greenbaum Prize for best oral presentation in the final round of the Harlan Fiske Stone Moot Court Competition on April 7, 2016. Aaron Michael Macris ’16 was recognized for submitting the best brief.
The oral arguments were the culmination of a demanding elimination competition, and it challenged students to argue an appellate case before distinguished visiting judges. This year, the court included Associate Supreme Court Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr. and federal judges, José A. Cabranes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and Cheryl Ann Krause of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
The Lawrence S. Greenbaum Prize, which is awarded annually, was established in 1951 by family and friends in memory of Lawrence S. Greenbaum 1912.
