SJI’s advising staff works with students and alumni to plan individualized career paths in public interest, human rights, and government sectors, and to explore how public service can enrich any legal career. Our goal is to assist you in identifying and developing a path that will reflect your interests, goals, and values.

Our advising staff covers a wide breadth of practice area specialties, experience, and regional expertise. SJI currently has full-time, on-site career advisors, part-time advisors based in New York, and part-time advisors based in other major U.S. cities. All Law School students and graduates interested in speaking with an advisor regarding careers are welcome to contact any of these advisors directly and without an introduction by our central office.
