Liz Mackay works in the Office of the Lieutenant Governor for the State of New Jersey, Kim Guadagno. Liz is a member of the Red Tape Review Group and the New Jersey Partnership for Action (the business development agency of the state). She was formerly the Deputy Director at the Division of Consumer Affairs for the N.J. Attorney General. The Division enforces N.J.’s Consumer Fraud Act and various industry regulatory regimes and Liz oversaw the Office of Consumer Protection, Charities and the Bureau of Securities, among other units. Liz also worked at the Bureau of Securities as Deputy Bureau Chief after graduating from Columbia Law School in 2004. In between her positions on the Attorney Generals’ teams, Liz worked as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of New York for 18 months. Law is a second career for Liz. She worked as an analyst, as a portfolio manager and as an investment strategist for major firms in the financial industry.
