“As the former deputy chancellor for talent, labor, and innovation at the NYCDOE and now in Louisiana, every day I see how critically important it is to identify and train highly skilled generalists to lead and transform our school districts and education organizations across the country. CPRL does just that—through its innovative model, it identifies exceptionally talented and motivated graduate students and gets them invested in K-12 education through high-impact public service work. In addition to the high-quality consulting work we received, I am most excited about the work CPRL is doing to create a leadership pipeline of students prepared to work in the education sector after graduation.”—John White, State Superintendent of Education, State of Louisiana
“The CPRL team was flexible and responsive to the project's evolving requirements during the four-month project, and the team's deliverables were of high quality. Across the board, my colleagues and I were impressed with the amount, quality, and breadth of the work the team produced. CPRL students and graduates are a promising talent pool for organizations focused on K-12 education, and I look forward to working with new teams in the near future.”—Rod Washington, Vice Chairman, America Achieves

Become a Client
CPRL’s unique funding model is to support student hands-on consulting experiences through fees that are well below market rates. CPRL provides clients with a skilled engagement manager, a team of four to five graduate students (typically including three or more with experience as consultants or K-12 educators), and support from Professor Jim Liebman and other university faculty. Client engagements typically begin in September, January, and May each year, can span 3.5 months, 8 months, and 1 year, and are charged at approximately 8% of market rates (or $75,000 per 3.5 months).
