As Research Coordinator, Avi assists Prof. Robert Jackson with key Center research projects, daily operations and Center events.
Abraham "Avi" Lowenstein serves as Research Coordinator for the Ira M. Millstein Center for Global Markets and Corporate Ownership at Columbia Law School. In his role, Avi works closely with Center staff, faculty and partners in conducting research and implementing Center projects. Avi’s current research projects include an empirical study of the JOBS Act, and contributions to the research currently underway for the Center’s Project on Investment, Ownership, and Control in the Modern Firm. Avi also presently serves as the assistant to Millstein Center Co-Director and Columbia University Associate Professor of Law Robert J. Jackson, Jr.
Avi joined the Millstein Center from the law firm of Foley & Lardner, where he served in a paralegal role in the litigation department. He holds a bachelor’s degree with a dual major in Political Science and International Studies from Northwestern University, and is a proud Evans Scholars alumnus.
