Milica (Mila) Brogan currently serves in an advisory capacity to the Millstein Center for Global Markets and Corporate Ownership at Columbia Law School.
Mila was most recently the Executive Director of the Millstein Center, helping re-launch the Center at Columbia and developing and executing various events, research, and ad hoc projects, before joining the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals as Senior Vice President of Operations and Business Development.
Ms. Brogan was previously the Director of Governance and Compliance at the Central Park Conservancy, a nonprofit organization with a $50+ million annual budget. Prior to that, Mila was the Director of BoardServeNYC and Strengthening NYC Nonprofits at the United Way of New York City, where she was responsible for the training of more than 1,000 nonprofit board candidates and 400 nonprofit boards on governance issues and board responsibilities.
She served in several earlier capacities, including first Executive Director of, and launching, the Millstein Center for Corporate Governance and Performance at the Yale School of Management in 2006; Deputy Director and Researcher for the NYS Commission on Public Authority Reform under Governor Pataki; Director of International Business for the New York City Mayor’s Office; Director of Communications and Marketing for the Weissman Center for International Business at Baruch College; Editor of the International Business in New York City Directory; and Radio Journalist at the Voice of America.
Ms. Brogan currently serves on the board of Right 2 Thrive, a 501c3 organization, and has previously served on the boards of One Stop Senior Services, American Council on Africa, and the Career and Leadership Development Center. She has a Master’s degree in Media and Communications from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, an M.Phil. in International Political Economy from the Graduate Center at CUNY, and a dual Bachelor’s degree in Politics and History from New York University.
