Through its extensive Visiting Scholars and Research Fellow Program, Columbia Law School has hosted hundreds of exceptional international scholars, professors, judges, practitioners, and government officials.
The immensely diverse group of program participants visit Columbia from all corners of the globe, engaging in research and scholarship that span a multitude of legal disciplines; these include comparative and international criminal law, human rights, legal philosophy, commercial and corporate law, and constitutional law as well as international private and public law, to name just a few. The Visiting Scholar designation is generally reserved for visitors who are senior faculty members at their home institutions. Columbia has also established a second scholar designation, “Research Fellow,” available to doctoral and post-doctoral academics.
Please note that the Visiting Scholars and Research Fellows program and its application process are under review and subject to change. For further information please contact Jason Nasrallah at jnasra@law.columbia.edu
