Copyright
Copyright gives the creator of an original work exclusive rights for a certain time period in relation to that work, including its publication, distribution and adaptation.
Trademark
A trademark is a distinctive sign or indicator to identify that the products or services originate from a unique source of origin. A trademark is typically a name, word, phrase, logo, symbol, design, image, or a combination of these elements.
Patent
A patent is a set of exclusive rights granted to an inventor for a limited period of time in exchange for a disclosure of an invention.
International IP
The Student Senate is comprised of representatives from each class that serve as liaisons to the administration and faculty, advocating on students' behalf in order to improve our collective law school experience.
Internet & Communication
How do the Internet and technological advances affect society's communications, and how do regulatory interventions balance innovation and competition?
Property Theory
How do theories of real property interact with the study of intellectual property? There are two kinds of property in Professor Michael Heller's academic portfolio: real property—the stuff of dirt, bricks, and mortar—and intellectual property.
