Student Journal Initiatives

Educational Technology has been working with the Columbia Law Review and several other student journals to explore web-based work processes for journal production. The goal is to implement digital production workflows for the Fall 2011 semester.

Al Fresco Document Managment

Several student journals are in the process of setting up production systems using the Al Fresco document management system. The Columbia Center for Digital Research and Scholarship is providing access to the software. More information about this initiative will be posted soon.

Academic Commons Repository

In addition to the digital production initiatives, Educational Technology is working with student journals to implement “open” journal publication policies and eventually make journals available on the Columbia Academic Commons Repository.
