This seminar provides an in-depth exploration of the theory and practice of equitable distribution of property at divorce. Material for the class include; appellate decisions; trial court decisions; expert valuation reports and in-force agreements (pre nuptial, post nuptial and stipulations of settlement). Students will also have the opportunity to examine closely current issues in equitable distribution through the questioning of a valuation expert in class and through their own observations in matrimonial court during the semester.
