This course introduces LLM students to the fundamental research, writing, and analytical skills that they will use in legal practice. In August, the course is taught daily and provides intensive training through seminar discussions, hands-on exercises, and personal conferences. Students also work closely with Reference Librarians to develop and hone their legal research skills. Starting in September, the course meets weekly throughout the fall and centers around written assignments and communications skills, including the intra-office memorandum. Throughout the course, students will receive feedback on all written work.
