Section Description Provided by Instructor
The course covers both international and comparative copyright law. It will address international copyright and related rights agreements and their implementation in U.S. and E.U. law. We will also consider problems of private international law (jurisdiction, conflict of laws). The instructors, Jane Ginsburg and Visiting Professor Edouard Treppoz of the University of Lyon, France, will analyze the issues from both a common law and a civilian perspective.
