Women in Firms - February 24, 2016
CLWA and CBLA hosted a panel discussion and reception in Case Lounge. The panelists discussed their experiences of working and succeeding in a large firm, with a particular focus on issues and concerns of interest to women. This was a great opportunity to learn from and network with attorneys in an informal setting.

Reading Group with Professor Ben Asher - February 17, 2016
Professor Ben-Asher led a reading group discussion on a recent case involving intersex surgery performed on infants. The group discussed not only the history of this practice but also recent developments.

Crime After Crime Showing - October 20, 2015
CLWA, DVP, EWOC, and CJAN hosted a screening of the powerful documentary "Crime After Crime," which tells the story of a domestic violence survivor in Southern California who was incarcerated for decades following the death of her abuser. The screening was followed by a discussion with Dorchen Leidholdt, Director of the Center for Battered Women's Legal Services at Sanctuary for Families in New York.

CLWA held its first Alumnae Mentoring event of the year, hosted by Sullivan and Cromwell. Cocktails for Caravans - February 12, 2015
Brittany Roehrs '16, Alexa Davis '16, Kathryn Roulett '15, Mario Ancic '15 and Kassandra Jordan '16 traveled to Los Angeles over Columbia's Spring Break for CLWA's first ever spring break caravan! CLWA partnered with the California Women's Law Center to provide pro bono legal services. At CWLC, the students worked on research memoranda and policy drafting for the center. They also had some downtime to explore Los Angeles. Check out their pictures below!
