December 5, 2013: The White House issued a joint U.S-China fact sheet detailing recent agreements reached by the U.S.-China Climate Change Working Group (CCWG), working under the auspices of the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue (S&ED). Both sides committed to undergo peer reviews of fossil-fuel subsidies as part of the G-20 process and to rationalize and phase out inefficient fossil-fuel subsidies.
