James J. Angel
McDonough School of Business (Georgetown University)
Professor Angel has taught at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University since 1991, where his undergraduate, MBA, and executive courses have included Financial Crises: Past Present and Future; Financial Markets; World Equity Markets; and Regulation in Financial Markets. His research focuses on the structure and regulation of financial markets, stock and derivative exchanges, short selling and "naked" short selling, as well as stock markets for small and emerging companies (including the OTC Bulletin Board and Pink Sheet markets in the United States).
Professor Angel currently serves on the board of directors for each of Direct Edge's two registered stock exchanges. In the past, he was Visiting Academic Fellow in Residence at the National Association of Securities Dealers, Visiting Economist at the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Chairman of the NASDAQ Economic Advisory Board, and a member of the OTC Bulletin Board Advisory Committee.
