Gabriel's research interests include corporations, contracts, securities law, torts, and private international law. His current work studies issues in these areas from a theoretical and empirical perspective.
His scholarship has been published or is forthcoming in various journals, including the Michigan Law Review, Duke Law Journal, Yale Journal on Regulation, Virginia Journal of International Law, University of Pennsylvania Journal of Business Law, and has been presented at the the 2015 Annual Meeting of the American Law & Economics Association.
At the Program on the Law & Economics of Capital Markets, Gabriel co-authors research on the equity markets, and works with Professors Merritt Fox, Larry Glosten, and Edward Greene on Columbia’s Capital Markets Regulation course, fellow workshops, and other program activities. Gabriel will serve as a Lecturer in Law in the Fall 2015 term at Columbia Law School, co-teaching Capital Markets Regulation with Professor Glosten.
Gabriel graduated from Yale Law School, where he was an editor of the Yale Law Journal and Yale Journal on Regulation. After graduating, he was associated with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Cooley LLP before joining Columbia Law School.
