Kay Crawford Murray ’76 was awarded one of the University’s highest honors in 2012: the prestigious Columbia Alumni Medal. First awarded in 1933, the medal recognizes alumni for 10 or more years of distinguished service to the University, including its schools, alumni associations, regional Columbia Clubs, and University-wide initiatives.
Murray was also honored with the Law School’s Lawrence A. Wien Prize for Social Responsibility in 1997, received the Barnard College Medal of Distinction in 2009, and currently is a member of the Law School's Board of Visitors. She has also served on her class reunion committees since 1996 and as president of the Law School Alumni Association. Murray is a Class of 1958 graduate of Columbia Teachers College.
