Options for Your Visit
Take A Tour
Applicants and prospective students are welcome to visit Columbia Law School during regular office hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, and the Admissions staff is available to answer your questions. The Office of Admissions is located on the fifth floor of William & June Warren Hall, located at 1125 Amsterdam Avenue (and 115th Street).
We do not offer daily guided tours of the Law School. However, you may pick up information for a self-guided tour or download a copy of the self-guided tour brochure.
Note: You will need a pass from the Office of Admissions to enter the Diamond Law Library.
Attend A Class
Class visits have ended for the current academic year. The 2016-2017 class visitation schedule will become available in the fall.
Open Door Policy
Columbia Law School wishes to remain as available as possible to prospective students. The Office of Admissions does maintain a liberal open door policy for prospective students and applicants who would like to speak with an admissions officer. No appointment is necessary, and you may speak with an officer on a call-in or walk-in basis during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except during holidays).
Please note that because of the high volume of applicants from all over the U.S. and abroad, the Admissions Committee is unable to accommodate requests for interviews. The Committee takes every effort to thoroughly evaluate every application received.
On-Campus Visitation Program
Please join the Office of Admissions for an Information Session where you will have the opportunity to learn about Columbia Law School. An Admissions Officer will discuss the admissions process, key components of the application, our curriculum, and the many resources available at the Law School. Registration is required.
